The second of Donald Clark's books that I have read since the beginning of the year. It is another lucid and thought-provoking read that covers a lot of ground about learning and technology.

Donald's main thesis throughout the book is that the traditional focus has been on the appreciation of technological developments but not on the dynamic between technology AND learning. Once that link has been established the historical accounts and the individual sections of the book that trace the developments of learning technology really slot into place.

As always with Donald's writing, it is grounded in a rock-solid understanding of learning theory making this an essential reference work for anyone involved in the broad and diverse eco-system of 'learning'.
